the word "ningen" translated from japanese means "human."

ningen are described as large, blubbery, whale-like creatures that share some of the same anatomical features humans do. a face is present in nearly all descriptions or depictions, and in some reports arms and hands are present as well.

they are extremely large in size, allegedly 20–30 meters in length. their skin has very little pigmentation as their skin is often shown as pale or nearly white.

most sightings of the creature are common to the antarctic region.
